Integration Overview

How to connect popular AI clients and coding tools to FIM Gate, with a list of supported apps.

FIM Gate is compatible with the OpenAI, Anthropic, and other mainstream API protocols, so almost any AI app that supports a custom provider / custom base URL can connect directly. This chapter walks through the setup for each app.

The Three Essentials

No matter which app you use, connecting to FIM Gate boils down to filling in three things:

  1. Base URL
    • OpenAI-compatible protocol: https://api.gate.fim.ai/v1. Some apps automatically append /v1 to the address; for those, enter just https://api.gate.fim.ai (noted on each app's page).
    • Anthropic protocol (e.g. Claude Code): https://api.gate.fim.ai.
    • Gemini protocol (e.g. Gemini CLI): https://api.gate.fim.ai.
  2. API key: create one in the Console. The examples in this chapter use $FIM_API_KEY as a placeholder — replace it with your own key.
  3. Model name: enter the ID of the model you want to use, e.g. gpt-4.1, claude-sonnet-4-6, gemini-2.5-pro. See the pricing page for available models and current prices.

If the app offers a "fetch model list" or "check connection" button, click it after entering the URL and key to verify your configuration works.
