Continue

Continue is an open-source AI coding extension for VS Code and JetBrains. Connect it to FIM Gate by editing its configuration file.

Setup

1. Open the Continue panel in your editor and click the gear icon in the top-right corner to open the configuration file.

2. Add model entries to the configuration. The two fields are:

   • models: models used for chat;
   • tabAutocompleteModel: model used for tab autocompletion.

3. Fill them in following this example (set provider to openai and point apiBase at FIM Gate):

4. Save the configuration file, return to the Continue panel, and select the new entry from the model dropdown to start using it.

The model field can be set to any model ID you have access to, and chat and autocompletion can use different models.
